ΔΑΝΑΗ   ΠΑΠΑΔΟΠΟΥΛΟΥ

  • Γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1986 και είναι κόρη του τραγουδοποιού Θοδωρή Παπαδόπουλου και της στιχουργού Ανθούλας Αθανασιάδου. Η ίδια παίζει μουσική από πολύ μικρή ηλικία και άρχισε τις ωδειακές σπουδές της στην Α’ δημοτικού με κιθάρα και πιάνο, ενώ παράλληλα δούλευε ως εκφωνήτρια στο χώρο της διαφήμισης δανείζοντας την φωνή της σε εκατοντάδες διαφημιστικά σποτ και jingle (από πέντε ετών έως και σήμερα).

    Είναι απόφοιτος του Πειραματικού Μουσικού Γυμνασίου/Λυκείου Παλλήνης και του Τμήματος Μουσικών Σπουδών του Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, είναι κάτοχος ειδικού πτυχίου αρμονίας και έχει υπάρξει μαθήτρια της Μίρκας Γεμεντζάκη στη φωνητική τέχνη, με την οποία μαθήτευσε για πέντε χρόνια. Παίζει νέι και πιάνο και τραγουδάει επαγγελματικά από το 2004.

    Ως τραγουδίστρια έχει ασχοληθεί κυρίως με την παραδοσιακή και την αστική λαϊκή μουσική, αλλά και με πιο έντεχνα είδη του ελληνικού και ξένου ρεπερτορίου. Έχει συνεργαστεί με πολλούς σημαντικούς ερμηνευτές και μουσικούς του ελληνικού πενταγράμμου και έχει εργαστεί εκτενώς στην Αθήνα και σε αρκετά νησιά του Αιγαίου, αποκτώντας έτσι μία ιδιαίτερη σχέση με το νησιώτικο μουσικό ιδίωμα.

    Ζει και εργάζεται στην Αθήνα, τραγουδώντας με διάφορα σχήματα και παραδίδοντας μαθήματα παραδοσιακού, λαϊκού και έντεχνου τραγουδιού, καθώς και συμμετέχοντας σε διαφημιστικά σποτ. Αυτή την περίοδο βρίσκεται στη διαδικασία ολοκλήρωσης του πρώτου προσωπικού της δίσκου με δικές της συνθέσεις, στον οποίο συμμετέχουν πολλοί εξαιρετικοί σολίστες και μουσικοί της εγχώριας σκηνής, ενώ την παραγωγή και μίξη του υλικού έχει αναλάβει ο Ρένος Παπασταύρος.

  • Danai Papadopoulou is a musician, songwriter and vocalist based in Athens, Greece. Born in 1986 to a family of musicians, songwriters and lyricists, she started playing music at a young age, as well as working as a vocalist in advertising from the age of five, lending her voice to hundreds of spots and jingles. She proceeded to studying guitar, music theory and piano at the conservatoire, attending and graduating from music high-school (Experimental Music High-school of Pallini) and acquiring a degree in Music Studies from the Kapodestrian University of Athens. She also studied vocal arts and technique with an iconic teacher for 5 years, mrs. Mirka Yemendzaki. She plays ney and piano and has been singing professionally since 2004. She has worked as a community musician and choir conductor in various organizations. As a singer she has collaborated with various noteworthy musicians of the Greek music scene and has been working for many years in Athens as well as the Greek islands, thus developing a special relationship with the Aegean musical sound. She specializes mostly in traditional Greek singing, focusing on the genres of Aegean, Asia minor and rebetiko, as well as contemporary urban folk Greek music. Today she works as a singer and vocal instructor and continues to work in advertising as a vocal artist. She is currently completing the recordings of her first singer/songwriter album, in which she's collaborating with award winning producer Renos Papastavros.

ΓΙΑΝΝΗΣ   ΠΟΥΛΙΟΣ

  • Ο Γιάννης Πούλιος γεννήθηκε στο Bruschal Γερμανίας και μεγάλωσε στην Κατερίνη. Μαθήτευσε στο μουσικό σχολείο Κατερίνης και μετέπειτα φοίτησε στο Τμήμα Λαϊκής και Παραδοσιακής Μουσικής στην Άρτα με δασκάλους τους: Γιώργο Ψάλτη και Μάκη Μπακλατζή καθώς επίσης και στo Yildiz Technical University στην Κωνσταντινούπολη (στα πλαίσια του προγράμματος Erasmus) για δύο εξάμηνα με δασκάλους τους Özer Özel, Nedim Nalbantoğlu και Murat Sakaryalı. Σήμερα έχει ενεργή συμμετοχή στον ελλαδικό μουσικό χώρο καθώς και στο εξωτερικό με συνεργασίες επί σκηνής αλλά και σε δισκογραφικό επίπεδο με διάφορα μουσικά σχήματα όπως: το «Tasos Poulios quartet», το «Σummation» και το “Hane” του Αποστόλου Σιδέρη το σχήμα Ηλιοδρόμιο, το Lappino project του Δημήτρη Λάππα, και το σχήμα Ali Perret’s DU.DU στην Κωνσταντινούπολη. Επίσης έχει συνεργαστεί με το σχήμα Ψυχή & Σώμα με τον Ματθαίο και Κώστα Τσαχουρίδη στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών, το σχήμα Λωξάντρα και με καλλιτέχνες όπως την Ελένη Τσαλιγοπούλου, την Νένα Βενετσάνου, τον Haig Yazdjan, την Ειρήνη Τορνεσάκη, τον Περικλή Παπαπετρόπουλο, την Ειρήνη Τορνεσάκη, την Αρετή Κετιμέ ,την Λιζέτα Καλημέρη, τον Αντώνη Απέργη, τον Μάνο Αχαλινωτόπουλο, τον Φώτη Σιώτα, τον Νίκο Παραουλάκη, τον ο Κωσταντίνο Πλούσιο κι άλλους ακόμη μουσικούς της ελληνικής μουσικής σκηνής. Επίσης, τα δύο τελευταία χρόνια εργάζεται στον χώρο της εκπαίδευσης ως αναπληρωτής καθηγητής παραδοσιακού βιολιού στο πειραματικό μουσικό γυμνάσιο Παλλήνης.

  • Yiannis Poulios was born in 1994 in Bruschal, Germany and he moved to Greece as a child, where he was raised in Katerini. He has been playing violin since the age of ten.

    He graduated from Katerini music high-school and continued his music studies at the Traditional Music Department of the Technological Educational Institute of Epirus. He also attended two semesters at the Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey where he lived for a year, studying and collaborating with local musicians as a professional violinist. Among others, his teachers and mentors are: Yiorgos Psaltis, Makis Baklatzis, Ozer Ozel, Nedim Nalbantoglu, Murat Sakaryali.

    He has been active as a professional violinist for over twelve years now in Greece and abroad, performing both on stage and in studio recordings. He has worked extensively all over Greece from north to south and east to west, thus developing a deep knowledge of various different styles within the local greek regions, as well as a very wide repertoire in traditional music. Furthermore, he has collaborated with many contemporary artists of other musical backgrounds, experimenting with genres that go beyond the Greek and Mediterranean borders.

    He has participated in several musical ensembles on stage and in studio, such as the "Tasos Poulios quartet", "Heliodromio", the "Lappino project", "Loxandra" band and the "Soul and Body" project of the Athens Concert Hall, as well as ensembles abroad: the "Ali Perret's DU.DU" in Istanbul and the ensembles of the Paris-based composer Apostolos Sideris, "Σummation" and "Hane". He has also collaborated with the Grammy award holders, pianist Leo Genovese from Argentina and the Puerto Rican rapper Residente.

    He now lives and works in Athens, Greece and has begun a parallel violin teaching career the past five years. Especially in the past two years he has been teaching violin at the prestigious Experimental Music High-school of Pallini. He has developed a characteristic and recognizable sound as a performer and this, in combination with his extensive improvisational skills, has given him the privilege to collaborate with some of the most important artists of the Greek music scene (Eleni Tsaligopoulou, Nena Venetsanou, Manos Achalinotopoulos, Areti Ketime, Haig Yazdjan, Antonis Apergis and many others).

ΤΑΞΙΑΡΧΗΣ   ΓΕΩΡΓΟΥΛΗΣ

  • Ο Ταξιάρχης Γεωργούλης γεννήθηκε στην Καλαμάτα το 1993. Η επαφή του με τη μουσική ξεκίνησε στην ηλικία των οκτώ, με το μπουζούκι. Μερικά χρόνια αργότερα ασχολήθηκε με το στεριανό λαούτο, υπό την καθοδήγηση του Ηλία Καππάκου και μετέπειτα του Χρήστου Ζώτου, παίζοντας σε φεστιβάλ και συναυλίες ανά την Ελλάδα. Έχει παρακολουθήσει μαθήματα βυζαντινής μουσικής με τον Ιωάννη Πλεμμένο.

    Το 2009 μπήκε στα μονοπάτια του ουτιού με τον Νίκο Παλαιολόγο. Μετέπειτα συμμετείχε σε πολυάριθμα σεμινάρια του μουσικού εργαστηρίου «Λαβύρινθος» με τους Yurdal Tokcan, Erkan Ogur, Ömer Erdoğdular, Ευγένιο Βούλγαρη, Περικλή Παπαπετρόπουλο, Σωκράτη Σινόπουλο, Χάρη Λαμπράκη, Joseph Tawardos και Ross Daly. Έζησε για δυο χρόνια στην Κρήτη όπου εργάστηκε στο μουσικό εργαστήρι «Λαβύρινθος» του Ross Daly, αλλά και ως μέλος του κουαρτέτου του ίδιου, μαζί με τις Κέλυ Θωμά και Σοφία Ευκλείδου.Εκτός από τους προαναφερθέντες, είχε την ευκαιρία να συνεργαστεί με τους εξής σπουδαίους μουσικούς: Ahmet Erdoğdular, Zohar Fresco, Μάνος Αχαλινωτόπουλος Μιχάλης Κονταξάκης, Γιώργος Μανωλάκης, Νίκος Ανδρίκος, Βαγγέλης Καρίπης, Γιώργος Ψάλτης, Δημήτρης Παναγούλιας, Haig Yazdjian, Τάσος Πούλιος, Θεοδώρα Αθανασίου, Γιώργος Κλάδης, Μάρθα Μαυροειδή, Derya Türkan, Γιώργος Κοντογιάννης, Νικόλας Παραουλάκης, Αρετή Κετιμέ, Σόλων Λέκκας, Σωκράτης Σινόπουλος, Κατερίνα Παπαδοπούλου, Στρατής Ψαραδέλλης κ.ά., παίζοντας σε συναυλίες και φεστιβάλ, στην Ελλάδα, Τουρκία, Ινδία, Ιταλία, Βέλγιο, Γαλλία, Κατάρ κ.α.

    Πρόσφατα συνίδρυσε με τη Σοφία Ευκλείδου στο τσέλο το ντουέτο «Beraber», με το οποίο ερμηνεύουν τροπικές συνθέσεις της Ανατολικής Μεσογείου, αλλά και δικές τους. Έχει κερδίσει το δεύτερο βραβείο στο διεθνές φεστιβάλ ουτιού της Τυνησίας. Τα τελευταία δυο χρόνια διδάσκει στο μουσικό εργαστήρι του Ross Daly «Λαβύρινθος».

  • Taxiarchis Georgoulis was born in Kalamata (1993). The first contact with music began at the age of eight, with the bouzouki. Some years later he started to play the Greek mainland lute under the guidance of Eliah Kappakos and later of Christos Zotos, while he was participating in festivals and concerts throughout Greece.

    He attended Byzantine music lessons with John Plemmenos, as well as classical harmony and counterpoint. In 2009 he entered the paths of oud with Nikos Palaiologos. Later he participated in numerous seminars of Labyrinth Musical Workshop with Yurdal Tokcan, Erkan Ogur, Omer Erdogdular, Eugene Voulgaris, Papapetropoulos Pericles, Socrates Sinopoulos, Harris Lambrakis, Joseph Tawardos and Ross Daly. He lived for two years οn Crete where he worked with Ross Daly, with whom he continues to work as a member of the quartet along with Kelly Thomas and Sofia Efklidou.

    Taxiarchis Georgoulis had the opportunity to work with great musicians like Ghewar Khan, Firoze Khan, Ahmet Erdogdular, Omer Erdogdular, Zohar Fresco, Nedyalko Nedyalkov, Giorgos Psaltis, Michael Kontaxakis, George Manolakis, Periklis Papapetropoulos,Nikos Andrikos,Vaggelis Karipis, Tasos Poulios, Dimitris Panagoulias, Palaiologos Nikos, Haig Yazdjian, etc. Recently he and Sofia Efklidou in cello formed the duet BERABER, where they play tropical compositions of the Eastern Mediterranean, as well as their own original compositions influenced by those traditions.

    He is a member of Giorgos Psaltis' “Akousmata Anatolis”, where they have been playing regularly for the last few years. He has won the second prize at Tunisia's International Oud Festival. Since 2018 he has been teaching Turkish oud at Labyrinth Musical Workshop.
